This is just a practice cake I did for my Wilton cake class, but I liked how it turned out. We were doing the sash one. I was so out of it all week I wasn't able to do any thing a head of time. So when I got to class all I had was my cakes crumb coated and my fondant colored. But turns out I still made everything and was done with my cake before the other girls in my class.
This cake is made from a weird butter flavor cake mix, but I didn't make it with butter, I used the normal oil and water with 4 eggs. The icing for the crumb coat is left over from a wedding where they wanted lemon flavor. But it was made from Sugar Shacks recipe, which was very good by the way. And the coloring is golden yellow for the fondant. And the cake was a 8in round and a 6 inch round.
