Bakeries
I have recently decided I do not want to do veterinary technician stuff for the rest of my life. So I've been trying to decide what I do want to do. I'm thinking of course about cakes. So I have been researching online how best to go about getting a job at a bakery or some where that decorates cakes. One lady said to go in as if you were going in for an interview but offer to work for 90 days as a volunteer. There are a lot of people out there that want these types of jobs, but how many of them volunteer for 3 months. So I think that is what my next step is. I'm making up a resume, which doesn't look so hot for a cake decorater but wonderful for a veterinary technician. So my plan is: go in all dressed up, give them my resume and cover letter, and than give them some of the pictures I have of my best cakes. If they don't want to hire me than I will offer to volunteer for 90 days, so I can at least get some experience and learn how professionals to it.

That sounds fun. But when are you going to find time to do that? Will you be able to get by money-wise if you are not working at the hospital. I'm sure that if that is what you want to do, it will work out for you. Sounds like something that you want bad enough. I hope it all works out for you.
Well, I would still be working at the hospital, it would just be a couple hours a day most likely. Most bakeries are only open for the morning any way. I still haven't gone out to do it, I'm a little scared.
You shouldn't be scared! Just put together a picture book and take it with you. Who doesn't need some extra (free) help around the kitchen? You should go for it!
